A question that I often get asked is are architectural photography and architectural fine art photography the same thing?

Well the answer is no.

Architectural photography produces images that are a photo realistic recording of a building or structure to showcase it in its best light. The images are used for such uses as advertising and selling buildings, accommodation and travel and tourism so must be an accurate record of the building or structure.

Architectural fine art photography is different in that the images produced represent the building or structure in the form of the subjective artistic intent of the photographer. This does involve some post processing skills.

Fine art means presenting an object in a way that focuses primarily or solely on its imaginative, aesthetic or intellectual side.

In short my imagery is representing my artistic vision of the building or structure.
